The Blackmagic PYXIS boasts a massive full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032, nearly three times larger than a Super 35 sensor. This allows for shooting with a shallow depth of field or using anamorphic lenses uncropped, delivering a truly cinematic look. With 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25,600, the camera ensures stunning low-noise images in any lighting condition, whether in bright sunlight or low light.
Utilizing the full sensor area enables capturing a unique open-gate 3:2 image, offering flexibility in reframing shots during post-production.
