Take the guesswork out of technical setups and focusing your images with the large, high brightness 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD display. Don’t work with a flat, hard to see Log image. Use the preset camera profiles to quickly view footage from most Log cameras in Rec.709. Peaking makes sure that your shots are correctly focused, while Waveform ensures optimal exposure to give rapid confirmation that your shots are setup correctly.

Atomos Sumo19M is just as at home in the edit suite as on-set. The color-accurate display gives the ability to grade HDR or Rec.709 productions with confidence. Edit in Log and instantly see your result in Rec.709 with 10+ stops of dynamic range displayed. Maintain color accuracy over time with the X-rite i1DisplayPro probe. Output in HDR to HLG or PQ formats for instant preview on a compatible HDR television. Unlike a regular computer monitor, the Sumo19M directly accepts broadcast spec video signals over SDI and HDMI from your NLE. This allows for extremely accurate monitoring. On Set
Using the Sumo 19M as your on-set production monitors provide HDR capable monitoring and review. Now the Sumo 19M monitor can be used for shot preview for the camera team on a high quality, calibrated 19 inch 1200nit 10-bit HDR screen.
In the studio
Take Sumo into the studio to use as a HDR grading monitor. Simply connect with your grading software to take Log, PQ or HLG signals from your Mac/PC and instantly see color accurate HDR in 10-bit quality with 10 stops of dynamic range.
Built for Production - Rugged Construction - Flexible Mounting Options
The Aluminum alloy chassis with built-in armor houses ten mounting points around the top/bottom/side, a rear panel VESA mount and an included stand for a variety of mounting configurations. Alongside of the XLR connections for power and balanced audio, there is a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and built-in speakers. The optional mounting plates connect dual V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries work in tandem with our patent pending continuous power system. This allows batteries to be hot swapped to ensure you are never without power in the field.
12G SDI & HDMI 2.0 IN/OUT
Seamlessly connect any SDI or HDMI device and convert between HDMI 2.0 and SDI (1.5G/3G/6G/12G) in any combination. HDMI 2.0 supports up to 4Kp60 input/output along with the very latest Atomos open protocol that supports HDR automation including importing of camera settings.
Selectable Dual 12/6/3G/1.5G-SDI input for A/B comparison
The SUMO19M accepts up to 4Kp60 or HDp240 over HDMI or the dual 12/6/3G-SDI inputs. Additionally, there are dedicated input selection buttons on the user interface to make A/B comparison between sources simple and simultaneous HDMI and SDI output of the corresponding input for routing to other monitors, recorders or switchers.
Realtime Exposure on set from Log for HDR and SDR
The AtomHDR engine perfectly maps Log/PQ/HLG from popular cameras/ game consoles to SUMO19M’s amazing panel, resolving 10+ stops of HDR in real-time for perfect setting. Pass-on HDR to other devices over HDMI or SDI, in HD or 4K and in Rec709/HLG/PQ. To get the best image from your sensor, you must shoot Log and only AtomHDR makes exposing Log easier, unlocking every camera’s HDR potential. The SUMO19M inputs can be used as an editing and grading companion in the studio with full SDR & HDR support through 709/HLG/PQ.
Monitoring made even Simpler with AtomOS 8
The Atomos SUMO19M is all about performance monitoring; HDR or SDR, 4Kp60 or HD, 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 and everything in between. With the recording functions removed, the user interface has been redesigned to emulate a button-based monitor. All the precision scopes can be accessed from the bottom of the screen as an overlay - simple and intuitive adjustments, just like your phone.

Today’s productions require flexibility to perform, no matter the camera or production you MUST be able to deliver superb SDR or mind blowing HDR to your clients. Shooting Log from your camera and exposing using AtomHDR gives you the maximum latitude and flexibility in Post Production to produce the cleanest noise-free SDR image and highest dynamic range HDR.
High Bright for REC709 Outdoor Shooting
The extremely bright 1200nit display means you can accurately monitor, even when outside in full daylight. Additionally, for the ultimate low light performance an optional hood is available. The simplicity of AtomOS means its only a single tap on screen to bring up focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, Vectorscope, Anamorphic desqueeze and a flexible 3D LUT implementation to upload your own LUTs as .cube files.
Trust What You See - Calibrate for Accurate Color
Like all high-end monitors, Sumo 19M also has optional calibration to compensate for the natural color and brightness drift that monitors exhibit over time. Sumo's calibration input lets you use X-Rite's i1DisplayPro to always ensure accurate HDR and Rec709 monitoring.
Continuous Power
The optional mounting plates connect dual V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries that work in tandem with our patent pending continuous power system. Sumo automatically swaps to the second battery when power is low, allowing the drained battery to be hot swapped to ensure you are never without power in the field.
3D LUT's - Precise, Flexible and Infinite
Load an infinite number of custom LUT’s onto SUMO19M via the HDD/SSD slot. Apply and compare looks for finishing in SDR or HDR, form your favourite LUT for your camera or from your post team for consistency across shoots. All stakeholders from customers to directors can see the creative finish live on the day!
